The project titled “Technical Support for Conducting IYCF Training” was implemented in the Morang district, with the Nutrition Section of the Child Health Division, DoHS, serving as the client. The lead firm, in collaboration with an associate firm, provided services valued at Rs. 21,90,000.00 (excluding VAT), funded by the Government of Nepal. The consultancy assignment took place during FY 2067/068, starting on February 17, 2068, and concluding on March 25, 2068.
The primary objective of the project was to offer technical support to the District Health Office in Morang for various training activities related to Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF). These activities included a District Planning meeting, District Training of Trainers (ToT), health worker training, VHW/MCHW Training, FCHV Training, and capacity building on WASH at all levels. Additionally, the firm was responsible for efficiently managing the logistics for these training sessions.
The services provided by the firm included conducting one batch of the District Planning & DDC Orientation, organizing eight batches of health worker training, conducting six batches of VHWs and MCHWs training, and completing 65 batches of 3-day FCHV training. The firm also facilitated WASH sessions at all levels and effectively managed logistics throughout the project duration.
