The project titled “Technical Support for Implementation of IMAM” was carried out in Jumla district, with UNICEF as the client. The lead firm provided services valued at Rs. 43,58,200.00, funded by UNICEF. The consultancy assignment took place during FY 2069/070, commencing on November 1, 2012, and concluding on February 28, 2013.
The project aimed to provide technical support to the District Health Office in Jumla for the implementation of the Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM) program. The activities included conducting a District Planning meeting, District Training of Trainers (ToT), health worker training, stabilizing center training, support for community outreach activities, establishment of WASH corners at health facilities, advocacy for water supply management, support for VDCs to declare Open Defecation Free (ODF) status, raising awareness on WASH among mother groups, supervision and monitoring, and managing logistics for the program.
The services provided by the firm included conducting the District Planning meeting, ToT, health worker training, stabilizing center training, establishment and strengthening of WASH corners at each health facility, advocacy for water supply management, joint facilitation with DHO for the declaration of ODF VDCs, raising awareness on handwashing, latrine use, and drinking water purification among communities, as well as efficient supervision, monitoring, and logistics management throughout the project.
